Personal information
After my medical degree in 1990, I started working on communicable disease surveillance and outbreak response in The Netherlands. After 16 years of working locally and nationally, I moved to the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control in Stockholm to lead Public Health Training activities. In 2016, I returned to the Netherlands and founded Transmissible, a private-sector enterprise to support public health learning.
My connection with Field Epidemiology
I could not get disconnected from field epidemiology, even if I wanted it.

Game-based learning. I am the director of two companies: Transmissible and Pandemos.
